MPC Film Welcome Francesco Giordana



MPC Film welcomes Realtime feature film Software Engineer Francesco Giordana to the team

MPC is delighted to announce that Francesco Giordana has joined the studio as Realtime Technical Lead for the feature film division.

A well respected and accomplished Software Engineer, Francesco joins MPC from ILM, where he worked as Senior Research and Development Engineer, developing new technologies for real time digital acting. This involved advanced solving of facial animation machine learning and computer vision techniques; advanced real-time character deformations and motion capture.

Before joining ILM Franceso spent 4 years at Double Negative working on Advanced Creature and Character animation R&D for movies including Thor 2 and Antman, and 4 years at Guerrilla Games as a Senior Technical Artist on Killzone 2 and 3.

MPC Film’s Chief Technology Office Damien Fagnou said “Realtime Rendering is a key technology in many area of our business, with Previs, Virtual Production and VR all greatly relying on cutting edge Realtime Rendering techniques, so we are really exited to have Francesco joining up to help us further advance in this field.”
